Gohe is Daisuke's grandfather and very talented in training hunting dogs. Gohe tries to hunt down a bear named Akakabuto which terrorizes their village. Akakabuto tore Gohe's left ear of and killed many of his dogs. I it because of Gohe's hard training that Gin becomes such a talented dog.
